[Italy] With the beautiful Lake Como in the background the 2012 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este marks the anniversary year of the legendary Ferrari 250 GTO considered as one of the most extraordinary cars ever built. Highlighted by the BMW Zagato, and Lexus LF-LC, amongst a crowd of vintage classics we rarely see.
Ferrari built just three F50 GT1′s. Producing impressive power with a 4.7L V12 producing 750 BHP with a 0-60 time of 2.9s and top speed of 235 mph. The new SRT Viper was recently revealed at the 2012 New York Auto Show, and to many surprised Viper enthusiasts the SRT Viper GTS-R was as well. Draped in the Forza Motorsport livery, Ralph Gilles roared the Viper GTS-R onto the stage with force and drama. Mr. Gilles announced that the Viper is back

The Grand Prix Historique Monaco is based on the charming old cars that propose a real travel back in time. It is one of the rarest opportunities to see mythical single-seaters of yesterday and today. Among the vehicles are the Maserati 250F, Ferrari 312T, McLaren M26, Lotus 77, Tyrell 006, Bugatti Type 51, 59, and Gordini T11.

Car #15, the only 2011 SSC Ultimate Aero and the last Ultimate Aero ever built, was photographed at the Roozengaarde Tulip field about 1 hour north of Seattle. Otherwise known as Tulips.com, these kind folks were nice enough to allow us onto their lawn in the midst of a typical northwest April deluge.
Mazda Laguna Seca in Monterey, California played host to the 3rd round of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS), and what an exciting weekend of racing it was. Every year, this is one of our favorite Motorsports events to attend. To make this year’s ALMS Laguna Seca a bit more exciting for ourselves and the eGarage faithful we hopped in a Helicopter to capture the action of the Corkscrew from above.

(Le Castellet, France) The Tour Auto is a French automotive competition which takes place every year on various stages through France. Paul Ricard Circuit hosts this very old event created in 1899 by the Automobile Club of France with the name of Tour de France Automobile. It was renamed in 1998 to Tour Auto to distinguish this event from the the famous French cycling race called Tour de France.

Some of the most historic and desired vehicles of all time have seen their way thru a Barrett Jackson auction block at one point in time or another. Although the Scottsdale, AZ auctions bring the largest crowds and biggest closing prices, the Palm Beach Auction, added in 2007, is the second largest of the 4. Barrett Jackson Palm Beach 2012 was their 10th annual 3-day auction and had more than $18 Million in revenue and 55,000 attendees.

You may not know that the unique particularity of Top Marques is to offer Test Drives – the slogan says, “See it, drive it, buy it”. The road tests are offered on Monaco’s mythical Formula 1 circuit . To participate, it is necessary to be interested in buying the car. But for the basic visitor, it is always possible to enjoy a driving experience (passenger only) by joining on the lists of the exhibitors to make the tour of the circuit, or by simply asking the drivers on the pitlane situated on the Avenue for Princess Grace.

The philosophy behind the LeMay Museum is that every car has a story. Obviously this rings true for us here at eGarage. We can’t wait until June 2nd, the grand opening of the museum, as this new destination truly puts Tacoma on the map and opens up hundreds, if not thousands, of different Automotive stories to the world.
