The BMW Museum opened in 1973. The BMW Museum and BMW Welt catalogues over 90 years of BMW heritage. There are 120 exhibits, the permanent exhibition areas at the BMW Museum solidify the core of the display area. It is located in the low-rise building, a new structure that was added to the BMW Museum in 2008. The permanent exhibition includes the BMW roadsters, the Visions area and the BMW Art Cars.

By the time Bruce was 12 years old he could drive everything his father had from a 1929 Model A Ford, to a ten wheel diesel truck. His family owned a car dealership where Bruce worked which included Lincoln-Mercury, BMW, Renault and International Trucks. He spent most of his time and the rest of his life learning all mechanical aspects of most vehicles, fabrication, body and paint which he now applies to his staff at Canepa Design.

Toyota, Scion, and Subaru boasts a 2.0-liter Subaru flat-four with Toyota’s combination direct-and-port injection that will have just a few horses shy of 200 hp at 7000 rpm and 151 lb-ft of torque at 6600 rpm.

Many 2002 Turbo owners describe a love with the car that is difficult to put into words. They all described a personal connection that brought back childhood memories of family and an excitement of winning. The fact that BMW created such a masterpiece of engineering from a small chassis and powerful engine relates to many of us. BMW was the underdog and near bankruptcy but they did not give up.

And for the LA Auto show, as expected, the North American debuts were the highlight of the show.  600+ horse powered Mustangs and Cadillacs, along with Gucci clad Fiat’s, the Scion/Subaru reveals, Super Kia GT’s. There was an obvious lack of Ferrari and Maserati and other Supercar presence at this year’s LA Auto Show.

Now nearing 2 decades since its inception, this year Ferrari Challenge introduced the new 458 Challenge which shared the asphalt with the F430 Challenge at the starting line. There are typically three series in Europe, Italia, and North America. This year there was a fourth Ferrari Challenge Series introduced in the Asia-Pacific region, which was deemed a huge success.

Early 1980s prototypes of the LM featured a rear engine design that proved to be weighted too lightly in the front resulting in lack of track stability and a “light” front end that was difficult to steer.  It was rumored that one test model flipped during desert testing as a result of the unbalanced weight distribution. These early trials resulted in the production of the LMA (Lamborghini Militari Anteriore) a name that referred to the newly front mounted engine, which later formed the basis for the LM002.

Ferrari 599XX EVOLUZIONE! In Italian that means: just when you thought the Ferrari 599XX couldn’t get any more extreme. Ferrari’s latest track monster was spotted in Mugello like a mythical loch ness. The new 599XX “Evo” is expected to have an even more powerful V12 6.3-liter powerplant.
